About Numbers Files
Numbers is Apple's spreadsheet app for Mac, iPhone and iPad, and .numbers is its native format. Numbers arranges tables and charts freely on a canvas, rather than one big grid per sheet as in Excel. Windows and Android have no Numbers app, so people outside the Apple world need iCloud or an export to open these files. Ask the sender to export an Excel or CSV file if you can't use iCloud.

- Mac
- Double-click to open it in Numbers.
- iPhone & iPad

- Windows & Android
