Privacy policy

Files never leave your device. This page explains what that means in practice.

Your files

Files you add to a tool are read and processed by your browser on your device. They are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. Results exist only in your browser's memory until you download them or close the tab. The site's security policy instructs your browser to block the page from sending data to any other website.

Passwords

When you protect or unlock a PDF, the password you type is used only by your browser to encrypt or decrypt that file. It is not stored or sent anywhere.

Accounts, cookies and tracking

There are no accounts. The site does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers.

Offline storage

To work offline, the site uses a service worker that stores copies of its own pages and code in your browser's cache. This cache contains only site files, never your files. You can clear it at any time through your browser's site data settings.

Hosting

The site is a set of static files served by a hosting provider. Like any web host, the provider may process standard request information (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. These requests never contain the files you convert.

Advertising

The site has reserved space for advertising but does not currently show ads or load any advertising code. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any ad code is added, and will describe what the ad provider collects.
