About AVIF to PNG
AVIF is great for fast websites, but it's awkward to edit or reuse: many image editors, design tools, document apps and upload forms still don't accept it. PNG works everywhere, keeps every pixel of the decoded image and supports full transparency, so logos, stickers and cut-out product photos keep their see-through backgrounds. Questions
Is the transparency kept?
Yes. Transparent areas in the AVIF stay transparent in the PNG.
Why is the PNG so much bigger?
PNG is lossless, while AVIF uses very efficient lossy compression. For photos, AVIF to JPG gives smaller files.
Does it work with animated AVIF?
The first frame is saved as a still image.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything is converted in your browser.
