About MP3 to OGG

Ogg Vorbis is the open audio format favoured by game engines such as Godot and Unity, many web apps, Linux software and Wikipedia. It sounds as good as MP3 or better at the same size and has no licensing strings attached. This converter decodes your MP3s and encodes them with libvorbis, the reference Vorbis encoder, compiled to WebAssembly. Choose from four quality levels, from about 112 kbps for small files to about 320 kbps, and convert a whole batch at once.

How to Use It

Questions

Is it Ogg Vorbis or Ogg Opus?

Ogg Vorbis, the most widely supported audio inside .ogg files, including by game engines.

Does converting lose quality?

Slightly, since both formats are lossy. Choose High or Highest to keep the loss inaudible.

Why does the first conversion take a moment?

The Vorbis encoder, about 800 KB, downloads the first time and is then reused.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The audio is encoded in your browser.
