About YAML to JSON
YAML is easy for people to write, which is why Docker Compose, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions and many apps use it, while JSON is what most APIs and programming tools expect. Paste YAML or open a .yaml file and the JSON appears instantly; switch the direction to turn JSON into clean YAML. Errors such as bad indentation or a missing colon are reported with the line and column. Files with several documents separated by --- become a JSON array. Copy the result or download it as a file.

Questions
Why does it say my YAML is invalid?
Usually indentation: YAML doesn't allow tabs, and items at the same level must line up exactly. The message shows the line and column to check.
Are comments kept?
No. JSON has no comments, so they're dropped when converting YAML to JSON.
What happens with multiple documents?
A file with several documents separated by --- becomes a JSON array with one item per document.
Is my data uploaded?
No. Conversion happens in your browser.
