About Blank EPUB
Building an EPUB from scratch means getting the container, package document, navigation and mimetype entry exactly right. This tool generates a minimal, valid EPUB 3 with your book's title, author and language, a table of contents and one empty chapter, so you can open it in Sigil, Calibre or a code editor and start writing. It's also a useful test file for eBook readers, stores and upload systems. The mimetype entry is stored first and uncompressed, as the specification requires.

Questions
Is the EPUB valid?
Yes. It follows the EPUB 3 structure: mimetype first and uncompressed, META-INF/container.xml, an OPF package with metadata and spine, and a navigation document.
Can I read it on a Kindle?
Send it with Send to Kindle once it has content. An empty book isn't very interesting to read!
Which editor should I use?
Sigil is a free EPUB editor. Calibre also has an editor, and any code editor works because the files inside are HTML.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The EPUB is generated in your browser.
