About Favicon Generator
Browsers, phones and search results each look for a different icon file. From one square PNG or SVG, this generator creates a multi-size favicon.ico, 16 and 32 pixel PNG favicons, a 180 pixel Apple touch icon with a solid background for iPhone home screens, 192 and 512 pixel Android icons, and a site.webmanifest file. It also gives you the HTML tags to paste into the head of your pages. If you start from an SVG, it's included too, for browsers that support crisp vector favicons. Everything can be downloaded as one ZIP.

Questions
Where do I put the files?
Upload them to the root of your website, so favicon.ico is at yoursite.com/favicon.ico, then paste the HTML tags inside the head section of every page.
Why does the Apple icon have a background?
iOS fills transparent areas of home-screen icons with black. Choose a background colour that suits your logo, and padding to keep it away from the rounded corners.
What size should my source image be?
At least 512 × 512 pixels and square. An SVG is ideal, because it scales to every size perfectly.
Why doesn't my new favicon show up?
Browsers cache favicons for a long time. Open the favicon URL directly, or try a private window, to see the new one.
Is my image uploaded?
No. All icons are created in your browser.
