About Blank RTF File
RTF is one of the most compatible document formats: Microsoft Word, macOS TextEdit, LibreOffice, Google Docs and many older programs all read it. An empty RTF is handy as a starting document on computers without Word, as a template for apps that only accept RTF, or for testing. This tool writes a valid RTF file with the page size, orientation, default font and font size you choose, with one-inch margins. The file is a few hundred bytes of plain text.

Which apps open RTF?
Microsoft Word, TextEdit on Mac, LibreOffice Writer, Google Docs, Pages and many others.
Why use RTF instead of DOCX?
RTF opens in more apps, including old ones, and can't contain macros. DOCX supports more features.
Is the font guaranteed?
The document asks for the font you chose; if it isn't installed, the app substitutes a similar one.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The file is created in your browser.
