About Grayscale PDF
Printing colour documents in greyscale saves expensive colour ink, and some offices, courts and print shops ask for black-and-white files. This tool redraws every page of your PDF in shades of grey, using the same brightness weights the eye uses, so contrast stays natural and coloured text remains readable. Choose 150, 200 or 300 dpi for the balance between sharpness and file size. Pages keep their original size. Because each page becomes an image, the text is no longer selectable, so keep your original too.

Questions
Will text still be selectable?
No. Each page is redrawn as a greyscale image, so text can't be selected or searched. Keep the original for editing.
Does it make the file smaller?
Often, for colourful or image-heavy PDFs. Text-only PDFs may grow, because pages become images.
Can I just print in greyscale instead?
Yes, most printers have a greyscale option. This tool helps when you need a greyscale file to send or upload.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Pages are converted in your browser.
