About Blank Word Document
Sometimes you just need an empty Word file: a template slot on a website that only accepts .docx, a test file for a document workflow, or a clean starting point on a computer without Microsoft Office. This tool builds a minimal, valid DOCX document with a single empty paragraph and standard one-inch margins. Choose A4, US Letter or US Legal pages in portrait or landscape. The file opens in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Apple Pages, LibreOffice Writer and other word processors.
How to Use It

Choose the page size
Pick A4, US Letter or US Legal, and portrait or landscape.

Name the file
Optionally type a file name. Otherwise it is called blank.docx.

Press Create DOCX and download the empty document.
Questions
Will the file open in Microsoft Word?
Yes. It is a standard Office Open XML document, the same format Word saves. It also opens in Google Docs, Pages and LibreOffice.
Why is the file so small?
It contains only what a document needs: one empty paragraph and the page settings. Word adds styles and other parts the first time you save it.
Can I get an old .doc file instead?
Not here. The older .doc format is a different binary format. Open the .docx in Word or LibreOffice and use Save As if you need .doc.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The document is assembled in your browser and downloaded straight from your device.
