About Add Watermark to PDF
A watermark marks a document as a draft, confidential or a copy, and discourages people from reusing it. This tool adds a text watermark to PDF pages in a few clicks. Type any text, in any language, then choose a diagonal or horizontal angle, a size, a colour and how see-through it should be. Place it once in the centre or tile it across the page. You can mark every page or only some, and the original text underneath stays selectable.

Questions
Can the watermark be removed?
It is drawn on top of the page content, so it can't be switched off in normal PDF readers. Someone with a PDF editor could still delete it, as with any watermark.
Does it support other languages and symbols?
Yes. The text is drawn with your device's fonts, so Hindi, Arabic, Chinese, emoji and other scripts work.
Will the original text still be searchable?
Yes. The watermark is added as a separate layer, so the document's own text stays selectable and searchable.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The watermark is added in your browser.
