About ICS Files
ICS files store calendar events in the iCalendar standard: title, date, time, time zone, location, description and reminders, and sometimes recurring rules. Event invitations from websites and email often come as an .ics attachment. Google Calendar, Outlook and Apple Calendar can import ICS files or subscribe to an ICS link that updates automatically.
How to Open an ICS File
- Any device
- Tap or double-click the file to add the event to your calendar app.
- Google Calendar
- Open Settings, then Import & export, and choose the file.

Why is my event at the wrong time?
The ICS file may lack a time zone, so your calendar assumes your local one. Edit the event after importing.
