About BIN Files
BIN means binary and is used for many unrelated formats: CD or DVD images (usually with a matching .cue file), firmware updates for routers and devices, game ROMs and raw data. What you can do with it depends on what it is. Disc images can be mounted or converted to ISO, while firmware should only be installed with the manufacturer's instructions.
How to Open a BIN File
- Any device
- Identify it with the File Info tool first.
- Disc images
- Open the .cue file with a tool such as WinCDEmu or Daemon Tools, or convert it to ISO.
