About HTML Files
HTML is the language web pages are written in. An HTML file contains text and tags that describe the structure of a page, such as headings, paragraphs, links, images and forms. Browsers read it and display the page, usually styled with CSS and made interactive with JavaScript. Saved web pages, email templates and offline documentation are often HTML files. Opening an HTML file from an untrusted source is like visiting an unknown website.
